Are you ready for some token rewards? The long-awaited token airdrop from Blur is finally here, so get your wallets ready to claim those sweet, sweet BLUR tokens.
Blur promised to reward its traders with tokens when it launched last October, and now they're making good on that promise. The airdrop was delayed, but it's better late than never, right? Just open up those care packages and get ready to claim your rewards, starting around 1:30 pm ET.
If you're one of the lucky traders who qualified, you could be eligible for BLUR tokens in one of three waves. The first wave went to eligible Ethereum NFT traders who used a competing marketplace in the six months prior to Blur's launch.
The second wave went to Blur users who listed their NFTs for sale on the marketplace through November, while the final wave is for traders who bid on NFTs through Blur.

Care Packages can be opened on Feb 14 at 12PM EST, 1AM HKG, 6PM CET.

Blur bills itself as the "marketplace for pro traders," so you know you're in good company. They even raised $11 million in a seed round led by Paradigm, so you know they're legit. But the hype around the token rewards has raised suspicions about "wash trading," where traders manipulate trades to boost their rewards.
But don't worry, it's not like they've yielded billions of dollars worth of suspicious-looking trades like LooksRare did last year.
Speaking of LooksRare, Blur has apparently been giving OpenSea a run for its money in terms of NFT trading volume. That's some serious momentum, but we'll have to wait and see if it lasts once the airdrop incentives are gone.
In the meantime, Coinbase and Huobi have already announced plans to support the BLUR token, so you know it's going to be the next big thing. Or at least, that's what we hope.
