That's right, an NFT by Pussy Riot has triggered criminal charges against the group for "hurting the religious feelings" of the people of Russia. Who knew that digital art could be so powerful?

The NFT in question is titled "Virgin Mary, Please Become a Feminist," which depicts the Christian icon with a frame of "anatomical details of the female external genitalia." Oh, the horror! We can only imagine the reaction of the religious citizens of Russia upon seeing this artwork. They probably needed some holy water and a fainting couch.

But wait, there's more! Artist and activist Nadya Tolokonnikova, who co-founded Pussy Riot, has been added to a list of wanted individuals by the Russian Interior Ministry. That's right, she's a wanted woman. Move over, Carmen Sandiego.

This isn't the first time Pussy Riot has gotten into trouble with the Russian government. Back in 2012, they staged a protest in a Moscow church, which resulted in them being charged with "hooliganism."

Nadya spent more than two years in a prison camp for that one. But apparently, Russia thought its "hooliganism" law wasn't enough, so they added the religious component, which is now being used to press this latest criminal case.

Despite all of this, Nadya remains undaunted. She says, "I will use the tools I have as an artist and crypto enthusiast to keep fighting. I’m not a soldier, I’m an artist. Art is my weapon." Well said, Nadya.
